Day 29: Samos to Ferrerios (23kms)

We got off to a late start and got tired, which led us to stop rather abruptly.  We stayed at a town called Ferrerios.  The local albergue ran out of beds but advised us to go to a restaurant a hundred meters ahead.  We found out that they had a room in the back of the restaurant that is turned into pilgrim refuge at night.  When we arrived, there were about 20 other pilgrims in one big room.

This rest stop along the Camino was by far the most ´convenient´.  But we didn´t buy anything.

Instead, we picked fresh and sweet cherries from abundant cherry trees along the Camino.  It´s a sweet and healthy snack for tired and hungry pilgrims like us.

I lost grip and almost wiped up.  I was scared for a second that I would fall and get injured. It could´ve been a Camino-ender for me!

Galicia is very lush with many interesting trees, shrubs, plants and other fauna.  Trees that we had never seen in other parts of Spain.

This was at the 100km mark away from Santiago.

The 3 of us shared 2 plates of entrees at the local restaurant we stayed at as there were no grocery stores at all in town.
