How to stay cool & hydrated on the Camino

The Camino can be dangerous because the weather in Spain in the summer is dry and sunny and there isn't a lot of trees to give you shade.  Therefore, your body can lose a lot of water.  Therefore, it's important to drink a lot of water (or gatorade, better as it has electrolytes).  I also recommend eating lots of fruit like the watermelon pictured below.  As well as the occasional ice cream or popsicle.  It's nice to have variety once in a while.  As Aiden says, "variety is the spice of life."  :)
